Day 3 with dew! I’m going to get spoiled at this rate. We were up and going early again. The plan was to get into town fast, get supplies, eat and charge our devices.  after that it was back to the trail to hike until 8ish.

We accomplished everything with only forgetting a few minor things to buy. Nothing that we can’t live without. The food at the Montana Cafe was great and the price was even better. I filled up for sure. Lott was so full he felt sick.

After breakfast we sat right outside and went through our boxes. I even got the owner of the cafe to sharpen my Leatherman. It was so dull from cutting my summer sausages on my titanium pot lid. They were super nice people.

After a quick stop at the library to approve my Fathead it was time to get back to the trail. Lott got us a ride from an older couple. They were very nice and full of questions. A guy name George who was older gave us our ride down from the pass. He too had lots of questions.

It was like 98 degrees in Darby today. At the pass it dropped to 83. The hiking was hot and a bit humid. At dinner I was more thirsty than hungry. Usually a sign I’m dehydrated. The afternoons trail was cross country trails and some logging roads. After that it was through an old burn. By then the clouds rolled in and we even got sprinkled on. It was still hot but a little better.

We camped in the burn just off the trail. At 9:26 pm it’s just cooling off. That’s my que to sign off.
