COLORADO TRAIL RIDER SURVEY
Congratulations to those who attempted and completed the Colorado Trail already and good luck to those considering another go.
The point of this survey is to assist others during their planning process and take some of the guess work out of riding/racing the CTR. Not everyone who bikepacks has the same level of knowledge.
Ultimately those looking to race/ride the CTR should do what works for them. At the same times those with less confidence or knowledge who are looking to confirm their own choices, should still try different gear to see what works for them. Nothing beats experience!
The hope is that this survey will possibly help make the whole process easier. To further help you with your decision process, checkout our article on the Most Common Mistakes Bikepackers Make.
The Colorado Trail Rider Survey was made to be comprehensive. There would no point ff it wasn’t. You’ll find almost all the questions asked to be ones people ask in forums. The wasted and energy of asking or finding the answers to those questions is removed by bringing them together here in one place.
By breaking down barriers and helping to get others outside, this survey is another of the Project’s targeted resources to help grow bikepacking.
