To complete my single speed video weekend trilogy, I give you “The Return of the Canuck” the third and last episode of the Single Speed Cyclocross Championships. Drew Mackenize took home his third straight win, while Wendy Simms took the win for the ladies.
The weather was off the hook most of the day, though the single speeders got a break in the weather. The huge field started Lemans style and had to run up a huge hill. It seemed to take the field forever to crest the top it was so big. You would have thought it was Halloween with the number of costumes out there.
The race was fast for some and well, for others the beer feeds slowed them down. Cleaning up after the race took as long as the race.
