Dirt Bag Living IV

It’s been a long while since I posted anything.  Motivation has been hard to come by when it comes to posting so I apologize.  That’s not to say I haven’t been doing much.  On the contrary I have been doing a lot, except working.  I installed solar panel systems for the month of November but then because of red tape our next job(s) never were put in place.  Now in mid February I’m told it will be another 2-4 weeks before we start again.

What follows is my last 3.5 months in pictures.  Not much “Dirt Bag Living” now but sometimes it feels that way.

This was the last job we did. The house was in Aspen, totaled 15,000′ and was estimated to cost $25m. The roofs were steep and very hard to work on. It was trial by fire for me.

As usually I have enjoyed many great sunsets and some sunrises when I was up for them.

I even made some new friends. Meet Dewey.

I did some racing.

and I did even more winning. In the process I met some great people.

The snow came soon after the racing stopped.

I made it home for the holidays, which was as always a great time.

I went downhill skiing for the first time in 23 years. I had so much fun, it was dangerous. Now I want a downhill ski set up.

I also finally got back to Seattle to get the rest of my personal belongings. I now actually have winter clothes, a bed (5+ months on the floor), and Hugo, my fat bike.

I also have been nordic skiing, and hiking.  I only have to acquire a chair for my desk and my room will be complete.  It’s quite nice to have all my belongs in one place.  I even went as far to buy a duvet cover after years and years of not having one.  I also love that I don’t have to wear 4-5 layers when I go outside.

I hope to have more posts soon so stay tuned.
