Another long day but not as hard. I met two hikers last night who were camped with Rafiki, their names were Handy Andy and Twinkle. Today I saw their packs or should I say lack there of. Both have packs smaller than most school children. I spent most of my day figuring out what to get rid of in Pinedale.
I need to get my pack weight down as my back has been hurting at the end of every day. I have two compressed vertebrae from crashing my quad and they get sore. I think I can drop a decent amount in Pinedale, then I’ll switch to the pack I started with, the Gossamer Gear Mariposa. All in all I’m hoping its 4-5 lbs.
My day was visually stunning. The Wind River range is very much like the Sierras.
