Wow last night was cold! I wore my puff jacket inside my sleeping bag. There was frost all over everything come morning. So much for no moisture with the breeze. My sleeping bag was so wet. The wettest it’s been ever I think.

Our day was almost all down hill so it went fast. It also had a lot of road walking. It started with a great section of trail cut into the bowl next to the saddle we slept on. From camp it looked much steeper than it turned out to be.

We got rained on for s short time and then hit the road walk. First it was dirt then pavement. I was feeling good and even though I held back so not to injury myself I still made great time. I got to a bar called The Ranch. I figured what the hell, let’s live a little. I went in and had a beer. One turned into two and a great conversation with the bartender and a customer and his son. Said customer ended up buying my beers. I left with a great buzz.

Not long later I stopped at the first gas station and got a Dew Shine. Mountain Dews new soda with real sugar and no added color. Oh, and a Ding Dong. Now I was high on sugar! It was a great walk into town to say the least.

I stopped at Pizza Hut to order us pizza. I then finished my hike to the motel. I found Lott, Bailey and Toast waiting for me. They got rides in. Pizza was eaten, showers taken and relaxing commenced. I did some shopping and just hung out.
