Amazing sunset that by mid sleep became a full on down pour with high winds. The storm lasted all night and into the morning. The results was packing up a very wet and dirty tent and very cold hiking.

As Toast and I climbed Elk Mtn the rain changed to snow a few times and then back to driving rain. We were hiking at least 3.5+ mph just to keep warm. It was a tough morning of hiking. Our ride was for 11 am but we hiked so fast we were 45 minutes early. We would wait a full hour as our ride was late. Both Toast and I sat next to a truck in the parking lot. We each took a wheel to help block the wind some. I almost fell asleep at one point.

In town we unpacked and then went to the diner for lunch. A quick stop at the store for a soda and snacks produce a pizza being ordered for dinner time. The rest of the afternoon was spent doing town logistics.

Lott showed up later with Bailey and stayed with us. The pizza was okay and we hung on the front porch like locals until retiring to our room. I watched some Netflix and packed for the early start.
