Appalachian Trail Day 103
Day 103, 06-10-01
Zero Day, Kent, CT

I woke up around 7 AM. The bed was soft, a little too soft. I thinks it’s as old as the house (1740s). What can I say, at least is was a bed.
I called Jim but he wasn’t home and finally got him around 9 AM. He picked me up around noon. I had breakfast with the gang and pretty much just hung out.
Jim and I went to EMS for new socks and a few other things. Then it was off to the Slavin’s, where I sat either around the pool or in the hot tub with Mrs. Slavin.
We had a great dinner and ice cream and cake later. He and I went shopping too.
I went to bed around 11 and I was crushed(?). Luckily, the bed was newer. It was the most comfortable bed I’ve been in.
Scatman 2011- Like most Zero Days I was running around for a lot of it. Lucky for me the Slavin’s took great care of me. Sitting around the pool was great. I felt like I was at the spa. Good food, company and relaxation. I just needed a massage.
