Today I spent the morning helping Jill and her friend Joan from AZ take pictures of the horses at the horse rescue Jill volunteers at.

After Jill and I found bad time to just hang and catch up. I really enjoy just spending time with her and sharing stories and getting to know her. Though we’ve been friend for almost four years we’ve spent limited time together. I hope that changes after the trail. She is such an amazing person.

Jill drove us to the airport where we got the rental car. After that it was hours of driving, a sore back and numb butt after 8 hours of driving. I made it from DGO to the Wyoming border.

We drove east of Rawlins to the town of Sinclair which appears to be the home of Sinclair oil. We drove 8 miles north of this massive oil plant into the flat arid void north looking for some BLM site and ended up just off a dirt road on a gas pipeline. The mosquitoes found us fast. It’s almost the real  midnight so I’m out.
