I got up and out of camp before 6 am. I wanted to get across Snow Mesa which I had heard so many horror stories of. When I finally got there the weather looked ominous. It would only turn out to be low dark clouds and a misty rain.
I lucked out as when I got to Spring Creek Pass I caught a couple. They were from Silverton and offered me a ride to Lake City.
Once to town I attempted to get a proper breakfast but missed out. I had a burger instead. After getting a cabin I did laundry and then just laid down until Jill showed up. We would hangout and talk all afternoon into the night catching up with one another. It was great to see her. The laziness of the day was much needed.
